Do you have a leggings pattern you love or maybe you’re jumping on the Made 2 Measure class bandwagon but want to update or try new leggings techniques? This episode is for you! Zede and Mallory talk through their plans for leggings hacks. They explore why you might want to add a power mesh waistband panel – a more athletic or midline slimming waist option to the top of your leggings. This is a favorite pattern hack of Zede’s since she’s always hanging upside down and being super cool and athletic with her aerial yoga and paddle boarding. She’s also feeling super confident in her leggings ability to stay put and not let her more private anatomy peek out.

Speaking of private anatomy let’s talk crotches. Mal and Zede have a leggings mod especially for crotches too. Zede shares how she prefers and feels the triangle crotch gusset works well to distribute the four pieces of fabric that make the crotch seam more evenly and reduces the stress that this seam might get. So if you are worried your seam is getting too stressed or have had problems with crotch blowouts in the past, Zede and Mal have you covered, literally. They have your back, well crotch in this case.

THIS EPISODE IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY: THE EASY T CLASS

The Easy T (1)

The Easy T Class is the first online sewing class from SewHere.com.

We’re excited to offer an introductory course on pattern drafting, because we know that one of the biggest obstacles in sewing your own clothes is getting the right fit. Instead of downloading a pattern, taping it together, and then cutting it apart again to try and get a perfect fit, try taking your own measurements and drafting this simple top.

The Easy T is a semi-fitted, short-sleeved shirt made from a lightweight, woven fabric.  While the possibilities for customization are endless, we recommend sticking to the basics for your first custom pattern.

One student says, “I’ve purchased many (20+) online classes from Craftsy, Creative Live and others. Your Easy T videos are some of the best I’ve seen. I love that you created many concise, easy to understand segments.  Breaking the steps down in separate  short sections makes it easy to follow and review things.”

And don’t forget your drafting kit!

I do not have an apple device. I don’t like them. I have Samsung phone and tablets. How can I see your lessons?
