This post is a long time coming, but instead of beating myself up over not publishing an Easy T Roundup earlier, I’m just going to bask in the glowing light of our talented community of Sewing Machines!
Check out these Easy Ts!!!
Here’s our beloved local Sewing Machine, Jacque in an Easy T.
Hayley has done a few Easy T “hacks” that are simply stunning, go to her Insta to see even more!
This is one of my favorite Easy T pics. I see a lot of people sharing gorgeous photos of indie patterns on their Instagram, and I love looking at them, but I’d say the main thing I do in my clothes is clean crap up- so the fact that Sandi posed with the recycling makes me laugh out loud.
I love seeing people get the drafting and designing bug after the Easy T class. When you realize that you can measure and design and that your clothes can come from deep knowledge of your body- you can make cool things like this!
I made another #selfdrafted #easyt! Except this time it's a dress! With a v-neck in the front and back and some added darts. I winged the neckline and it turned out a bit weird… Lesson learned for next time! . The fabric is an amazing sparkly linen from @sewmesunshine.uk and I loved the contrasting selvedge, so I left it on as the hem. It's looking a bit rumpled because I couldn't resist wearing it immediately. . Finished May 27. . #sewingsunshine #sewing #naehen #memade
What’s the Easy T Class?
The Easy T is a basic drafting class where you learn (from me, Mallory) how to turn your measurements into a simple dolman sleeved top. The modules cover measuring, drafting, choosing fabric, cutting, construction and finishing! The Easy T is actually meant to be made of woven fabric, so for those of you who are a bit skittish around knits- this is a great garment to start with.
Use the hashtag #EasyT on Instagram- I can’t wait to see what you make. I promise I’ll write another round up post soon!
